Day-by-day itinerary
A representative 15-day plan. Every departure is private and can be paced, shortened, or extended around your dates.
Day 1
↑ 1,400 m
Airport welcome and transfer to your hotel, followed by a trek briefing and gear check with your guide.
Day 2 · 3–4 hrs
↑ 2,610 m
An early mountain flight to Lukla (2,840 m), then a gentle warm-up walk down the Dudh Koshi to Phakding to protect acclimatisation.
Day 3 · 6 hrs
↑ 3,440 m
Enter Sagarmatha National Park and cross the high Hillary suspension bridges before the steep climb — with a first glimpse of Everest — to the Sherpa hub of Namche Bazaar.
Day 4 · 3–4 hrs
↑ 3,440 m
A vital rest day with an acclimatisation hike to the Everest View Hotel and the villages of Khumjung and Khunde. Sleep low, climb high.
Day 5 · 5 hrs
↑ 3,860 m
A ridge-top trail with Ama Dablam ahead leads to Tengboche and its famous monastery — often visited for late-afternoon prayers.
Day 6 · 5 hrs
↑ 4,410 m
Through Pangboche and above the tree line into the wide Imja valley, reaching the stone-walled fields of Dingboche.
Day 7 · 3–4 hrs
↑ 4,410 m
A second adaptation day with a hike up Nangkartshang (≈5,050 m) for sweeping views of Makalu, Lhotse, and Island Peak.
Day 8 · 5 hrs
↑ 4,940 m
Past Thukla and the poignant memorials to lost climbers, then alongside the Khumbu Glacier moraine to Lobuche.
Day 9 · 7–8 hrs
↑ 5,364 m
A rocky traverse to Gorak Shep, then out across the glacier to Everest Base Camp (5,364 m) — the goal — before returning to sleep at Gorak Shep.
Day 10 · 7–8 hrs
↑ 5,545 m → 4,240 m
A pre-dawn climb to Kala Patthar (5,545 m) for the finest Everest sunrise of the trek, then a long descent to the thicker air of Pheriche.
Day 11 · 6–7 hrs
↑ 3,440 m
Retrace the trail through Tengboche and back to Namche, with the hardest altitude behind you.
Day 12 · 7 hrs
↑ 2,840 m
A final long descent to the Dudh Koshi and back up to Lukla — your last night in the mountains, and a chance to celebrate with the crew.
Day 13
↑ 1,400 m
A morning flight back to Kathmandu (weather permitting), then rest and a free afternoon.
Day 14
↑ 1,400 m
A buffer held for Lukla flight delays. If clear, enjoy a free day for sightseeing or shopping.
Day 15
↑ 1,400 m
Transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
